Sorta related...
I've just been introduced to lapping and autoslalom...
I see these cameras hanging off half the cars.. can anyone direct me to a good place to get info on these? I'd like something I can take lapping/AutoX that can record up to probably 15 mins or so and be decent quality without costing a fortune... Next one... are there cameras that can also track laptimes etc? or does that require a smartphone app or something? I'd like to be able to track that as well

GoPro makes some, Sony makes some, a bunch of other brands make them. I have a goPro Hero 3 Silver with a suction cup mount that I used in Afghanistan.

If it pops off the mount, it could be a danger to other drivers and you'll probably never see it again. You'll get good results for lap timers from this thread. I've seen Harry's Lap Timer mentioned a few times. I can't give you first-hand experience with that part though. |
