CEL with High Flow Cat??

I have been going to a few exhaust shops to find out costs. All of them have been saying that a HFC will throw a CEL. Have any of you experienced this?

I think it would depend on the cell count of the cat. 100 cell cat wouldn't be as effective as a 400 cell cat.

I looked at that but from what I have seen most HFCs online are 200 cell. I would imagine that a 100 cell would throw a CEL.

Considering there are 2 cats if you remove or change the primary cat in the stock header you may throw a CEL. If you replace or remove the secondary cat in the front pipe you shouldn't see any CELs.

You are right, I'm on 4 hours of sleep and not thinking clearly.
Cat or no cat in the front pipe won't give a cel as its not monitored. That car is just a helper to clean up

I think I saw one reported, but a lot of these cars have secondary mods, so hard to say.

I'm getting that header and have no plans to tune anytime soon.
