What's the max SD card / thumbdrive size the headunit accepts?

As the title says.

Well... are you located in Mexico? Is it an FR-S or BRZ head unit? What head unit do you have...

I want to say 16gb and the more nested directories you have the slower it loads.

I have a 32GB flash drive connected to the USB port on my BRZ. It works fine - though slowly. I find it much easier/faster/better to use an old ipod.

So what would be the best way to organize music on a thumb drive or SD card to make access fast?
I just have folders for each band, which folders for each album.
All in all about 40 gigs of death metal. LOL

Just an FYI - Tried 64 GB via USB - nope.
32 GB via USB - nope.

According to the dealer it's 8 GB max. I bought a few of those and will try em out later today.

Also, when I inserted a 32 GB SD card into the headunit itself, all I could do, was choose the album covers as start up sceens...

I was a little irritated that you couldnt put music on the head unit SDcard too.

The odd part is, that my radio doesn't seem to have a USB option...
I have AM, FM, Sirius, Aha (whatever that may be), bluetooth and iphone.
No USB anywhere. I hope it magically appears once I insert an 8 GB drive.

I have a 32gb in and it works. However randomly some of the music just doesn't show up and the head unit resets it's self while playing specific albums.

The 2013 FR-S stock stereo takes every single gig of my big, bad 64. That's 64GB limp, BTW. Loads up real quick. Takes forever to scroll through all the songs in one folder, though. I'm going to organize.

Ahhh yeah.

It's a Lexar flippy thingy from Target.

That sucks.
I just bought a bunch of 8 gig drives and they work, but I'd rather have all my music on one single drive :/

Any idea what about different drives makes the headunit accept them?
