Header + Android Torque -Tune

Noob question. Ready?
I have ordered a header (singular as there is no room for more than one) but it will arrive before I am in a position to get a tune. I would like to fit the headers as soon as possible even if performance is not optimal but not at the risk of damage to my engine. Would the Android app Torque be sufficient for me to monitor my AFRs. The headers are the last exhaust system part to be replaced.

Torque will monitor AFR but its update rate is generally too slow , you really need something at 5 times a second.

If they are catless headers it probably going to throw a CEL code due no cat.

If you find its running to lean then you carn't do anything with torque anyway other than monitor basic parameters.

What headers? Most run fine (minus the CEL) on a stock tune. It won't be optimal, but it shouldn't be dangerously rich or lean.
