Which is easier? FRS front or BRZ headlights?
I prefer the Frs front bumper, but I want at least the minimum of HID's. Would it be easier to purchase a BRZ and swap the front bumper for a FRS or purchase a FRS and swap in the HID's?? Keyless entry would be nice from the BRZ, but it's not a deal breaker.
Does anyone know if Scion plans on making HID's an option in the future? I'm not in a rush to purchase the vehicle, not sure if I'm deploying next year or not. If I don't deploy, I might purchase early next year. If I do, probably two years from now. |

with the BRZ headlights there is also a electronic headlight adjustment in the cabin. So it probably would be easier to get the FRS bumper.

Those parts are already made for the scion by TRD.
![]() Personally, I would get really bored with the Scion really quick. It always happens to me with ultra low-quality interiors. That's why I'm going with the BRZ Limited. It's only low-quality. Quote:

but then again I see so much HID kits on reflectors that HIDs in projector housing is an improvement.

Ugh, please don't buy $100 HID's unless you really hate yourself.
I'd think it would be easier to swap the FR-S bumper over, but then again if you don't need all the extra options the BRZ has, you could have plenty of money for HID's with the couple grand you save buying the FR-S.

And then you will have headlights that are uglier and less effective than stock while blinding oncoming traffic. Please, for the love of all that is holy stop recommending this. Also, that number there is called color temperature. It is not how bright the lights are, it is what the spectrum of light output looks like, based on a traditional black body radiator.

Aftermarket HID's have been made illegal in Massachusetts thanks to all the morons installing cheapie eBay kits on their Civics and Jettas, pissing off commuters left and right! Now you can't even buy a good kit and run it legally. Thanks, a-holes!
