Camera Power Cable?

I picked up a mini0801 camera for my car, I mounted it behind the rear view mirror and works great. Now I just need to figure out how to hide the mini usb cable that is power it. A friend with GTI said he removed the plastic cover on his A beam with a single screw and put it behind between the cover the airbag. Can the plastic cover on the interior or the A beam be removed and put back into place easily?

If not anyone have recommendations how to run a cable from the usb port or 5v ac port up to the rear view window?

There is a wire Harness hidden in the headliner for a Home link and auto dimming mirror. I wonder if that could be used? That was something I was going to investigate when I get my car...

open the passenger side door as wide as possible, remove the plastic cover on the right side (passenger side) of the dash. Feed your USB cable thru. Tuck in the rest of the cable behind the rubber along side the A pillar and the head liner. Done.

I did my dashcam install this way.
