trunk measurement question

Does any one know the measurement of the trunk opening between the two rear brake lights? I know the trunk dimensions, im just trying to determine the width between the brake light opening of the trunk lid to see if i can slide a tv in the trunk. Thanks

width of the trunk is about 50 inches where his hand comes down is about at the 14 inch mark
EDIT

i would say the opening is about 22-24 inches wide at its smallest point just guessing

you can always lower the rear seats and slide the tv in from the front doors with the drivers seat folded forward against the steering wheel and slide the tv in the back and into the trunk

the tv has to be skinnier than 39 inches to go into the trunk the reverse way

unfortunately the tv dimensions are 51 x 34 x 6 and probably too big to fit thru the front door. Im just trying to see if it can fit thru the trunk opening. I know its small enough to physically fit in the car. just getting it in may be a problem.

yeah that does seem tricky, if the car had a targa top, the tv would slide right in!

So, here are the assumption based on the measurement thread:

* the length from front seat back to the edge of trunk is 56 inches.
* the rear seat is 39 inch wide. Although the width of the opening is not measured, i would guess it is a bit (< 2 inches) narrower than 39 inches.
* the height of opening is greater than 6 inches.

So if you slide your TV longitudinally (long side straight in with short side on the width), you should be able to fit your TV in no problem. Of course you have to slide the TV in through trunk opening. You might also want to put some protective stuff on your TV.

And this is just some random Internet guess based on information gathering.
