How to destroy an engine in 7 days: Attention Deficit Disorder Edition (FA20club.com)
Hi folks. So as many have mentioned my thread (even though it was the condensed version) was far too long to read for people wanting a summary. Here is what was covered in my thread.
You can read the full thread with more details here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56141

Whether he has insurance or not, is not a defence, or an excuse not to pay.
If he's admitted liability (Has he really?) sue him. That's what I'd be doing. Put a hold on his assets, file for a court appointed liquidator to issue 7 days notice. (If I were you, I'd invoice him now, so that if he is wrapped up, you are on the books as a creditor. I don't know enough about the US legal system to advise further. Except to say, if hes admitted liability, thats a big plus for you. |

I have a feeling his only assets are his laptop and EcuTek cables/licenses. I get the feeling that Toni has been taking orders from new customers to pay for parts sold to previous customers. It is a dangerous cycle that many performance shops fall into that eventually leads to robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I give you props for discovering the backdoor, and even more so, letting EcuTek know about it and fixing it.

the bug was reported by other users first, but whatever. it wasn't an exploit, just a bug that allowed the day-one version of ecutek for end users to open locked roms.

Holy shit man. All the knock offs and bad craftsmanship aside, I had no idea club fa20 was so messed up. That bit with Efi-logic(s) is unbelievably underhanded. Efi-logics is a solid shop and that would've thrown me off too. JV was one thing but fa20 takes scumbaggery to a whole nother level...
Hope things work out for you, thanks for the heads up. |

My brother had bought a built motor for his mr2 gen2 n it was all fucked. They said because tuned wrong. But he bought the tuned ecu from the same guy. Had his lawyer write a huge letter got all his money back. If u contact ur cc company they might do something bout it.
