TPMS

So I hit pothole yesterday and caught a flat and obviously the Low Tire Pressure light comes on. I replaced the flat with the spare and the light is still there.

So that led to wonder is the light still on because the flat tire is sitting in my trunk and it's still sending the signal the car... or is possible I have another tire with low pressure. I know I could easily figure this out by checking the pressure on the other tires haha

I would assume it is still on because you have the flat tire in your trunk. Should go away once you have the flat repaired. It looks like it takes about a minute to update. Works better if the vehicle is moving. Hope this helps.

If you're missing a sensor, or have a sensor sending a lower pressure than the ECU wants then the light will be on.

Yes.... and no.

My TPMS light comes on at random times, and my stock wheels are sitting in the garage on a rack.

My aftermarket wheels do not have TPMS on them, and more than half the light is off and everything is "normal".

Frankly, just ignore the light. It's useless.
