I just ignore the light when it comes on, which isn't often. I usually have a couple of other dash lights on as well though, since the traction control and stability control are often turned off. As long as I don't drive more than 25 miles or so at a time, the light stays off with my TPMS-less aftermarket wheels. Traction control and stability control are not affected by the absence of TPMS sensors.

That only works if you have one set of wheels. I have at least 2 or 3 sets of wheels for most of my cars.

I had mine transferred over too, but I only plan on running one set of wheels. If I was going to run multiple sets I would transfer them to the set that would see the longest most consecutive miles.

It's just a light. We all lived and drove just fine long before we had a light telling us our tires were low. Things like your car pulling to one direction, loud noises, etc... all signal your car may have an issue.

I actually purchased my wheels with new sensors and I'll be purchasing a winter/summer consumer devices to "reprogram" my car as needed.

I learned my lesson on my old car. I didn't add the tpms back when I up graded the wheels. The problem with low profile wheels is that you get VERY little wobble when the tire pressure is low. I was doing 80 down the highway at 11:30 at night when I had a tire blow. Luckily it was the back right and not a front. I personally won't go without tpms again.

If your tire blows the tpms isn't going to tell you in advance

Correct, but in my case the tire went flat and since I was running low profiles I didn't get the usual wobble. My rim cut 2 grooves in the tire causing it to shred and do paint damage to the right rear fender. Luckily the rim wasn't damaged. My point is that if I would have kept my TPMS in the tires than I would have known that the tire was going down and I could have avoided it shredding apart.

Thanks guys.

I saved myself a few hundred bucks and transferred BOTH the stock tpms and tires. I was going to pick up some nitto tires but swapped the stockers instead to save 6 bills and pay off other car part purchases. (can't wait!)
