Socket Set

Hello,

I am looking for a torque wrench and socket set to purchase. I have found this set of sockets:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-89-339-12-Point-Professional-15-Piece/dp/B000NJ63Q8/ref=pd_luc_sim_01_02_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Stanley 89-339 1/2-Inch Drive 12-Point Professional Grade Metric Socket Set, 15-Piece - Amazon.com[/ame]

Stanley has another set [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-97-126-2-Inch-Metric-Impact/dp/B000NIKA4U/ref=pd_luc_sim_01_04_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Stanley 97-126 11 Piece 1/2-Inch Drive Metric Deep Impact Socket Set - Amazon.com[/ame] as well, but this one does not include 15 or 18 mm, which are very common.

The question I have is if the first set will be able to tighten the lugs on the stock wheels. I have read that you need "deep sockets" to tighten the wheels. Do these look like they would not work?

Thanks a lot!

I would try to get 6 point sockets over 12 point. Deep sockets give you a little more room in that they will extend everything out further away from the car. I find it makes life easier. Personally, I tend to purchase most of my tools from Craftsman. But lately, they've been getting all their stuff made in China. The only saving grace is that they still offer a lifetime warranty. I just replaced a 6 point 14mm socket because it was starting to round itself out after 15 years of use.
