Wideband
So when I get the FA20Club turbo I assume I will need a wideband gauge and sensor, is there any other gauges that are necessary for turbo operation? What wideband gauge/sensor is a good one to get?
Thanks |

I use the AEM failsafe for wideband and boost. I also use the Innovate MTX-D for oil temp/pressure.

i use an innovate ot-2 with a wideband (lc1) plugged into the MTS chain. i've found this to be the most convenient way to log. i also use a variety of programs over j2534 to log obd2 params with a tactrix cable (which is crazy fast, btw).
it's worth nothing that we will very soon be able to use the romraider logger with extended parameters, which is fantastic. |

AFR and boost are mandatory in my mind. As mentioned the AEM Failsafe is the best most affordable option to combine both and have automatic datalogging capabilities of 3 hours with RPM input.

Sounds good I will go with this option. So how important are readings such as oil temp and pressure, fuel pressure, cooling water temp, etc.?

The factory water temp gauge is accurate enough. I would put oil pressure as the next most important as it may alert you in time to prevent a failure should one of your turbo oil feed or drain lines decide to remove itself, but the car has a low oil pressure idiot light that will do the same thing and you will probably notice that light first unless you are watching the gauge all the time. Oil temp is something that is good to monitor, but I don't need to see it every day. You can log it with EcuTek or Torque or any other OBDII logger.

What kind of gauge pod do I need for this gauge? Also with the failsafe, can both boost and A/F be displayed on the gauge at the same time or is it just that they are interchangeable to read?

looks like this: ![]() It can read both boost and AF a the same time. Either PSI on the OLED in the middle and AF on the outer-rings LEDs, or vice versa. |
