Wideband LC-1 wiring.
Has anyone installed an innovate lc-1 wideband? I know there is a way to replace the stock wideband and then wire the serial out on the lc-1 to the factory harness. I would like to avoid welding another bung into the header.
My main question is has anyone done this yet or does anyone have a wiring diagram for it? I would assume this is what innovate motorsports did with there car. Any input would be greatly appreciated trying to get my car prepped for my supercharger install next weekend. |

I'm looking into this as well, personally I'm going the route of welding in a second bung. I don't like to splice into factory wires if I don't have too.

I was going to go that route originally as well but I just dont see were you could weld another bung in before the cat.

I am getting another bung welded in today. I am planning on going with the nameless header when it is released.

Whoa there boys. The answer is categorically no (without serious work).
The issue isn't about linearisation of the sensor. The output of the LC-1 is an analogue voltage. The output of the sensor into the ECU is not. Oxygen sensors are current devices and require a controller/amplifier to read them. The ECU already has one built-in for the OE sensor. Now it's _technically_ possible. You could bypass the controller in the ECU, splice into the analogue output before it goes into a processor/adc. You'd have to also know what the OE linearisation curve looks like. Good luck! |
