Front pipe installation
I installed my front pipe today and was having trouble lining up the front pipe to the midpipe. I tightened the spring bolts as much as I could but i got this gap. I know it probably shouldnt be like this but is this ohkay?

What I'd suggest is taking the whole exhaust system off (front pipe to axleback) and redo it. There might be a chance that you can have a leak there.

No need to take it all off. Just loosen everything so that you can wiggle things around, then tighten from the front to the rear.

You'll always have a gap with the donut gasket, but if it's doing it's job you won't have leaks.

Any joints with a donut will have a gap between the flanges that's how they are supposed to work. However the gap should be as close to even as you can make it, not lop sided like in the picture.

I suggest loosening all of the bolts and trying to line things up better. It helps to use a jack stands to hold the pipes in place so that you can get it all lined up before tightening anything. Also, you may need to adjust the hangers in the rubber bushings to get the alignment correct.

Does your aftermarket frontpipe require the use of the OEM donut/spring bolts? I know the Perrin, GReddy, and Invidia pipes don't use them.
