Eibach Sportlines vs H&R super sport springs

I'm a tuning newbie and 95% of my knowledge is from reading between the lines of arguments on these boards. That said, I'm at the stage in my build where I need to choose which springs I wish to purchase/install. I did a quick search and didn't find any comparisons.

Visually, I like the looks of both, so I'm interested in the driving characteristics of both. I don't have the ability to buy both and try both. I need to get the set that will be best for me. My 86 is my dd, but I do a lot of spirited driving (even during my daily commute). The biggest difference I am able to tell is a .3" difference in the front and .1" in the rear. Yes, I'm aware driveways, speed bumps, and curbs will be increased hazards. Please help me understand what differences I will notice between the two different sets of springs. Thanks in advance.

H&R Sport springs would compare more directly with the Eibach pro series while the H&R super sport would compare with Eibachs Sportline series. The former being the mild drop and the latter being more aggressive. I chose the H&R sport and I'm very happy with that choice. I wanted to retain as much suspension travel as possible and avoid a bouncing problem from the springs rebounding a longer distance after a bump. I installed the Koni sport inserts along with my spring instalation so I may not be the best source for info but I am very happy with my suspension choices. I also see people saying good things about the RCE yellow springs which are a similar drop of .8". Swift springs may be another to consider as well since I think they have a new offering.

I purchased the Super Sport springs a couple days ago and will hopefully be installing them tonight. So I have not personally experienced their ride quiet yet, but I have sold the Super Sports to a local customer. He installed them the same day he picked them up as he had his first Auto X event with his BR-Z that weekend. He came back on Monday just to let me know how well the springs held up in the event and how well they rode as a daily. They were stiffer than stock, not bouncy and rode comfortably without sacrificing performance.

He's actually the reason why I went ahead and bought them. Here's a pic of them installed on his vehicle:

I can't comment on the Sportlines for this application. They are a very well made spring and I know a lot of people do like them for other vehicles, but I have not had the opportunity to talk to anybody about them in regards to our chassis.

i have the eibach sportline springs. the drop looks great, and the ride quality did not suffer too much. the springs also came with new shorter bump stops, which saves for from having to cut your stock ones. i am very happy with them

The Eibach Pro-Kit and Sportline kit are both designed and tested around the factory dampers and have great ride quality. The Eibach springs are also pre-set from the factory so there is no settling period or sagging later on down the road.

I had H&R's previously on my 545i. The ride wasn't too bouncy, held up well, but did sag overtime as @Jackson mentioned. There were a few times when the car would bottom-out on huge dips at high speeds. Most of my friends thought I was running coilovers because of how low it eventually got, mind you being a much heavier car.

I'm getting Eibach Sportlines installed next week at SpeedElement in San Jose, I'll post some pictures and give you an update. Plans are to add 20mm and 25mm spacers next month since I've decided to keep my factory 17's. Later in a few months, I'm getting Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 225/45/17.

.
