BRZ premium resale
Just wondering for anyone who has sold their BRZ what kind of numbers you have been getting. I know it will depends a lot on options, mods, location, etc but just wanted a rough idea of whether its a couple thousand below what you paid for or like 10k under what you paid for....

I would guess on a low mileage 2013, about $22-23K for trade-in. Private sale you might be able to get closer to $24K. |

You can BUY a used one for that price, sure. But nobody will pay you that. Even if it's a private seller, you won't get that money. My friend just sold his a month ago, he bought it in January. It has just about 4800 miles on. He sold it to CarMax for $20300. The car was listed few days later for $23900. Looking at CarMax and other places, you will see that most FRSs are listed for between $22k-24k. That means that they paid at least $2000 less, and that's a stretch. If those were trade ins, they probably paid far less. Anyways, to OP, if you are planning to sell your BRZ, better hurry up, 2014 are around the corner. But don't get your hopes high, you will be lucky to break the $20000 if you have a FRS or Premium BRZ. |

Actually the Model S has the practicality I need and the speed for driving around town. But for long drives the infrastructure isnt set up yet. I am looking at maybe a new VW passat or used '11 A4 or something. Haven't totally decided but probably something lower key...I hate having to always worry about jerks throwing their massive SUV doors at work or the market or whatever and denting things up. |
