BRZ premium resale

Just wondering for anyone who has sold their BRZ what kind of numbers you have been getting. I know it will depends a lot on options, mods, location, etc but just wanted a rough idea of whether its a couple thousand below what you paid for or like 10k under what you paid for....

Depends on a lot of variables. How many miles, automatic vs manual, condition on the car, where you live and how many other used BRZ's are for sale near your area.

I would guess on a low mileage 2013, about $22-23K for trade-in. Private sale you might be able to get closer to $24K.

I'd think used prices would be dropping now since some California dealers are getting the hint and are willing to deal on new BRZ's.

Sorry to burst your fantasy world man, but you cray cray if you think you would get that right now.

You can BUY a used one for that price, sure.

But nobody will pay you that. Even if it's a private seller, you won't get that money.

My friend just sold his a month ago, he bought it in January. It has just about 4800 miles on.

He sold it to CarMax for $20300. The car was listed few days later for $23900.

Looking at CarMax and other places, you will see that most FRSs are listed for between $22k-24k.

That means that they paid at least $2000 less, and that's a stretch. If those were trade ins, they probably paid far less.

Anyways, to OP, if you are planning to sell your BRZ, better hurry up, 2014 are around the corner. But don't get your hopes high, you will be lucky to break the $20000 if you have a FRS or Premium BRZ.

LOL, the OP just replied that the dealer offered $23K trade in. So yeah, expect private sale to be $24K. Like I said there are lots of variables. If your area has a bunch of used ones your right $22-23K could be a stretch.

I'm totally kidding....

Actually the Model S has the practicality I need and the speed for driving around town. But for long drives the infrastructure isnt set up yet. I am looking at maybe a new VW passat or used '11 A4 or something. Haven't totally decided but probably something lower key...I hate having to always worry about jerks throwing their massive SUV doors at work or the market or whatever and denting things up.

Yikes...sounds like your friend got ripped off...or at least it would be in my neck of the woods. VW dealer said they would give 22k, Audi dealer said 23k and BMW said 21.5k...and private party ive already gotten 3 offers for 24,500...
