Minor dent caught up to me

Well, I guess it's kind of inevitable, especially parking at my workplace where it's shared with a Yoga studio and random construction/hydro pickups and vans. I'll search around on the forums, but anyone had really good experience with dent fix and paint fix shop?

Damn. Sorry to see that. I wish I knew the GTA a little better so I could offer some suggestions. For now, check out this thread... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43906

Give Dent Doctor a call up in Thornhill and let them take a look at it and they'll be able to tell you if they can fix it up completely or most of it since the dent is up to the edge of the fender.

Got quote from chipmaster for $550 showing the pictures above, they fix dents and repair paint. From seeing a thread of their reviews, the work they do is immaculate.

Quote:
1) Repair dents / scratches on right rear 1/4 panel new fuel door
2) Repair scratches on right rear bumper cover
3) Prep bumper / 1/4 panel for refinishing
4) Blend base coat for perfect colour match
5) Refinish 1/4 panel / bumper complete
$550 (probably +tax)
Still awaiting a quote from Dent Doctor, sucks that I work in Etobicoke and they don't open Saturdays until after labour day, they are so close to me.

Popping out the dent is my main concern, the scratch isn't too bad I guess. I need to do that thing to remove paint of the other car though this weekend, gotta find that thread.

Removing the paint from the other car is pretty straightforward. You could try and use a claybar to see if it will remove the foreign paint (along with any other surface contaminant) . A buffing compound like Meguiars #205 should work also, followed by a good sealant/wax.

I would avoid paint at all costs if you can. It doesn't matter how good they are, you will see a difference with pearl paint if adjacent sections are repainted.

I will try this, good thing I pre-bought claybar with a couple of friends, so I'll take a piece out and try that.

That's what I'm afraid of as well, I'll just go for Dent removal and go from there.

I had a guy fix my tC after a shopping cart blew out of a bin and into the same area as your dent. It was a bit smaller yet he spent 2 hours and it looked good as new for $100. It is indeed repairable. Still bewilders me that people hit/swipe up against other people's property without remorse.

Nice, wish I lived in states sometimes!

I contacted Dent Doctor in Thornhill, they'll try to fix dent and buff it out, I just have no time at the moment to fit their schedule until they bring back Saturday business gotta wait 2 weeks I think

It will look fine by the time they are done with it. It will indeed feel like a long 2 weeks. Hang in there. She will be good as new.
