Caught this in the local newspaper

Was reading this in the break room today. There goes the stigma with my car if anyone else sees the retail price.

Just thought I'd share with my fell 86ers.

I get that all the time too. Had 1 guy tell me i'm being irresponsible spending money on a really expensive sports car, I should be saving for retirement blah blah blah. Told him it was only 25K and he shut right up and started to look at it and enjoy it lol.

My family and GF all lectured me when I bought this. My dad thought it was stupid to buy a 400HP car, I laughed. And my mom and GF both lectured me on spending 50K on a sports car, I laughed again.

I can't help but notice the Ford add below it...especially since it seems like it was written buy a Mustang fanboy.

Eh the little car is a blast to drive, f*k anyone who's not smart enough to pay attention to the most awarded car of 2013 and realize it's not expensive or running a gas guzzler. *2 cents*

I pulled in with mine at work and everyone gawked like I stole the freaking thing. Then came the awkward questions about how I could afford such a "pretty car". My previous car was a '99 beat up Firebird, so I'm assuming everyone thought I was a drug dealer on the side or something.

I like the fact that our car is highly praised by media and consumers alike, but I can't help but feel like there's an overload of self back-patting on this forum regarding the success the car has had.

Yes we all made great choices and paid modestly for a car that performs and looks stellar.

Less sack riding threads and more threads about the cultivation and evolution of our platform.

If I came off negative, I'm sorry. I usually hang out in the tech section, but would like to see more progressive threads coming from the general part of the forum.

Mostly because it's been so long since a platform like this has been available in the US.
I hadn't been able to get off the dime and get a replacement car until the 86.

A borderline plagiarist. I've seen every sentence of this review somewhere else. There is a good chance they never drove the car.

No Bad Cars Anymore...

I never see bad reviews for any cars today, all these writers will pan a couple of things here and there but praise the cars in general. They all know where their paycheck comes from.

BTW it was the reviews for the FR-S that got me to the dealership but it was the test drive that sold me on the car.
