Will I need an Alignment? Eibach Sportlines
I recently purchased Eibach Sportline springs and Tanabe front and rear sway bars. I've seen some comments here and there about needing camber bolts and an alignment after installing the springs and I just want to clarify if it necessary after installing either of these parts?

I'd be very surprised if your alignment is still right after the springs. If you want your tires to last I'd get it checked.

springs yes (for the alignment), swaybars no. after dropping the car, it's going to affect your alignment. if you want to adjust the camber, you'll need to add some parts.

I'd suggest you look into the OEM crash bolts or some aftermarket camber bolts such as the Whiteline units.

are you getting someone to install the springs for you? if so, talk to them first about your different options for your particular needs and associated costs.

A friend of mine is installing them on the side for me. I have to supply everything. My only real need is to re-establish the factory alignment as this is primarily a daily driver and I will only be doing some HPDE stuff with it a few times a year.

When you drop this car even an inch which sport lines go bit lower actually yes you will need an alignment and of course should do one. The rears there is the option of whiteline adjust able "top" camber adjustment bushings but be warmed they're a pain in ass to install to say the least. Fronts everyone else has answered on that, ie: crash bolts or WL ones ....

I think the Sportlines drop the car about 1.5''. You're going to get some massive rear negative camber for a daily driver. Probably somewhere around -2.6.
That's the correct Whiteline kit. Most people say that it's a pain in the ass to install, which means $$$ for labor cost. I don't have any experience myself. The alternative would to get adjustable lower control arms. |
