Remove road tar from wheels

Does anyone have any suggestions to remove road tar from wheels without ruining the finish or paint on the wheels? i drove through an area where recent development has been going on and now i have a nice glob inside my wheel.

"Trix" by CarPro or Stoners "Tarminator" available at O'Rileys. If you feel brave try old school method - kerosene.

the cheaper solvent not aggressive is diesel.... all commercial products contains diesel or naphtha in lower percentage (from 2 to 10%) and higher price.

Tarminator is the best, I use it all of the time. Sometimes I get little black spots that just smear if you touch them with your finger or dont budge if you use a cloth with soapy water. One little spritz from the tarminator and immediately wipe with a cloth and boom, all gone. That stuff is like magic in a can!
