Guys/Gals who installed KWV3 install these washers?

I've been reading researching till eyes red. Recently I've seen these washers come up "alot" in threads and more recently reference to them being needed on install for even the KW V3s is this so??

I got my KW V3's from RaceComp and they installed the washers.

I got my mechanic to install my v3 with this washer. i have stock top mount.

yes i run these, or else the bearing in the top hat will have issues.

So even running stock too hat you need these? Frustrating these do not come included why wouldn't KW do that to begin with? I only recently discovered this in reading on the Tarmac thread and trying to narrow down for a final choice here .... Thank good was for forums anyhow...geesh

Anytime you're not using the OEM upper perch, you need this washer. If you take a look at the OEM upper perch, it has this washer welded onto it.

In the Impreza, this washer is separate from the perch.
