Moto-East Vortech BRZ preliminary results, 263 WHP!

This is the regular kit, 92 octane, dynojet. STOCK injectors/pump. No knock.

Did a bit of street tuning but hounded with a weird fueling issue at 6500 rpm exactly, it is still richer than I'd like but we ran out of time to iron out that little hiccup. The injectors/pump will be installed in a week or so and we'll go back and have a bit more fun with it! I think at high rpm the stock fuel system is just a bit too stressed to keep up as we had no issues with load limits etc...but if we were able to cut the hiccup down, but the top end capped at ~235 whp instead of the 260. We have time to finish ironing it out.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks we'll redo the tune, this time for the injectors. Overall driving the car I was quite impressed for this being a centrifugal setup. The power comes on very smoothly and you get that crazy kick at the very top end! Car has a borla header and cat-back for reference.

Looks good, hope you tackle that 6.5K hiccup without compromising on the gains!

Did you log boost or AFR during the dyno runs? What PSI did you hit and how rich/lean did it go at 6500 RPM to see that big of a dip?

We "patched" the 6500 area to go rich but it is literally just a 100-200 rpm band. But we worked it in 500 rpms. Hence the wider 'dip". We can fine tune this better but time needed vs return is rather pointless given the fuel system will be swapped. It could be a specific car issue as well so unless I see it again I won't sweat it. The point is the torque curve is great and we saw 8 psi max...afrs ~11:1 under boost so we have room to lean it out as well.

Shitty borla UEL, PST driveshaft, perrin crank pully, perrin resonated exhaust, stock up/mid pipe.

Big thanks for mike for saving my ass at 12am on a Saturday, and for the extra HP I wasn't expecting, port injectors/pump go on on June 3rd.

I saw @robispec having the same type of hiccup at ~6-6.5k rpms as well. He was on stock injectors but upgraded pump + E85.

Seems his fuel pump filter was disintegrating causing this problem.

I am a little weary to see this hesitation issue again.

Beautiful #'s though! Congrats on 8 psi 263 whp. That is NICE.

I haven't started running E-85 yet, but it is in the works which is why I'm watching that thread intently, it may just be a peace of mind part, but is buy the solution anyways. Hopefully it's just because the limits of the stock fueling, we will find out. I'm also limiting mike to just 92wawa gas because up in pa it's a pain to always find 93.

After all was said and done, I was like "oh yeah did I forget to tell you this is a tank of 92 WAWA gas?"

Mine made 174 after Perrin's 93 octane tune, but all stock hardware.

Wait, wait, wait. Did I just read 263 WHP, on 8PSI, with a Voretch supercharger, on PUMP 92 gas?

If I got that right, you sir, you have given me hope.

So the run labeled 'stock_run1' was not stock? Did it have a tune?
