I need help figuring out what class my car would run in for SCCA Solo. These are the modifications I have made. Any help would be appreciated.

The springs takes you out of stock class. You should be ok to run STX since a five Axis kit is techinically a dealer installed option. Depending on your region people in the STX class wouldn't care anyway unless you are a top driver. In my region we a have a few fr-ses that have carbon body pieces and wings but I don't make a stink about it because the are still off the pace by 4 secs. Haha
Now if you were to take the car to a national event that's another story. If the kit is illegal you'd know about it before your car left the trailer. Bring some extra double sided 3m tape. Last edited by Auto-Hauss; 04-28-2013 at 04:19 PM. |

Thanks. What class would I have to run in at a national?
and for my dumb moment of the day, I don't get the comment about double-sided tape. |

The kit is only held on with double sided tape and I believe a couple of screws. The comment means that you would take off the kit for the duration of the day and then put it back on. |

Since the kit isn't produced by Scion and on a specific "model" of vehicle offered from the factory it may only be legal in Street Prepared or Street Modified. Locally no one would ever care about it and I would say even at a national event most wouldn't care either unless you are winning the event.

Thanks for the explanation dwx. It will be a long time before I am winning a national event.
