HID and high beam use

Looking to get some HID's from DiodeDynamics (I got my LED kit from them and absolutely love the company) and I remember reading somewhere that whenever you install HID's on a non-HID car, you lose the ability to use your high beams. Is this true? I tried researching, I could not find the original post.

I might be completely wrong, any input would be greatly appreciated

no. low beams and high beams are on different location. low beams use H11 bulb, high 9006/9005 forgot lol.

if u use a LED DRL then u lose ur high beam function.

When you install HIDs on a non hid car you're just a jerk blinding other drivers with glare. Order a retrofit kit with replacement projectors and you won't have a problem.

If you get an hid retrofit then you have your hi and low beam in the one projector.

That pattern is still perfect by just putting in HIDs. I have 5k HIDs from DDM tuning and the cut off looks almost as clear as a friends 09 camry that has factory HIDs. Your not going to blind anyone so long as you make sure the cut off is at the height its suppose to. DDM tuning is cheaper than diode dynamics and its all the same Chinese stuff. I got my set with a lifetime warranty for $35 plus shipping...can't beat that
