Japan Track Day & Autofest - Killarney 14 April 2013
Who's all going?
If you don't want to go on track, we can at least all hook-up KILLARNEY STREETCAR OPEN TRACK DAY INFO Sunday 14th April 11am till 3pm Drivers briefing 15 minutes before the start of the event. No loud or excessively noisy vehicles allowed at Killarney. R300 per driver, 2013 WPMC members R200 (must produce membership book), R50 for passengers. Helmets available for hire, R80 excl deposit. 0215571639 Go Pro cameras will also be available for hire (TBC) Points to note for drivers: First timers must be present for the safety brief at the start of the event. Your entry can be rejected if you are not present at the briefing at the start of the event. Fees: R300 per driver R200 for WPMC members (membership book must be produced at entries / documentation) R50 for passengers Drivers will be separated into three groups: Group 1: Easy group No passing under brakes / single file in the corners. Group 2: Experienced group Out braking is allowed / No overtaking in the corners. Group 3: Pro Group This is for the very experienced driver and race vehicles at race pace. No excessively loud vehicles allowed at all road or race. The organizers will be conducting sound tests and reserve the right to stop further participation if your car is excessively loud. All vehicles will be subject to a safety check, everything must be in good working order. No cracks in the brake disks, battery to be securely fastened. Drivers & passengers: Long sleeve tops, long pants, closed shoes and an SABS approved helmet are required for passengers and drivers. Helmets are available for hire on the day, R80 each excl deposit. I would go, but it seems even though the dealer said Friday latest to collect my car they are changing their tune now and saying it might not be ready. I guess a brand new car wouldn't help anyway, but I would at least come through to show her off.
I guess my current car is a japmobile, so I could still pitch if there are enough members that will show up. Be good to meet some people in person. [EDIT] I forgot. Prior commitment on Sunday. Won't be able to make it. |

Would love to go again, but not this Sunday. Razzle, you should go on the track, it's really fun, just keep TC on and everything should be fine. Wait untill the 3rd heat for Group 1. Less ppl on the track.
