Trick to restrat on last map used on ecutek

I'm frenchman with Toyota gt86 and FA20Club remap for 93 and E85.

I have found by my mistake when to much on a hurry that I can restart the car on the same Map as it was when I stopped it. I don't know if it only work for my car or will also work for other GT86/FRS/BRZ with ecutek.

So in France the GT86 is delivered with the smart key and the Push start button.
So my normal procedure to start with Map 3 that is my E85 map is like follow:

-1 press push start button 2 time (no clutch) to get all light on dash
-2 choose map with cruize control switch, Map 3 for E85
-3 Clutch down press again push start button and the car start in desired map.

So many time when on hurry i get confuse press too many time this button and suddenly start on the last map I was using. But I could not reproduce it when I wanted it.
So today I decided investigat and to test more to be able to reproduce my mistake and after a bit of trial I could reproduce it a few time's.

So here is how it work for my car to restart in the last map before it was stoped:
-1 Press 3 time very fast the push start button
-2 Clutch down and press Push start botton, the car start
-3 pull cruize control to check what map is on and Bingo Map 3 same as when I stop it.

I try to leave the car 4 hour to check if this still work and again Map 3 at start.

Would be intresting to know if other's can reproduce this?
I will try if it work in the morning after staying all night in garage

I'll try it right now and report back.

So basically, always start with 3 quick pushes of start, then clutch-in start?

pushing the button 3 times would bring it back to its off position. so you have to basically turn it on quickly to shut it off, then clutch in and start it with one push?

I will check this out later today when I leave work to confirm if it works on my car

This works on non push button starts as well. I have seen this happen on my auto frs when forgetting to put it back on the e85 map.

No exactly 3 push put it back where you have one green key light on dash.

With 2 push you 2 green key light on dash.

3 returns mine to off, but when I start up with the 4th push, it retains the previous map.

I thought the e85 map was a separate map anyways from a regular pump map? I know features are probably structured the same like on a pump map (flat foot shifting, auto blip, etc).

Its funny how I never use any of the features on my pump map. Sometimes I use the auto blip which is cool, but lately have been practicing heel-toe so much to get it right myself anyways that I rather not use it. I could always blip for downshifting but not in the proper way so i've been trying to perfect it.
