Rears not camber adjustable?

So I got an alignment today and was told that they couldn't adjust the rear camber. I've got the car lowered on BC BR coilovers (camber plates at the front but none at the rear). Natural camber for the rear is currently -2 degrees for the left side and -2.5 degrees for the right side.

I want to bring back the right side to -2 degrees to be the same as the left side but I was told that it can't be adjusted and that I would need to replace the stock upper control arm with an adjustable upper control arm to be able to adjust the rear camber.

Can anyone verify that what I have been told is correct? If so, what is a good brand for adjustable upper control arms?

The rear camber on the FRS/BRZ/86 is can be adjusted if you have adjustable lower control arms, or you can also get the whiteline camber bushing kit for the rear.

For the adjustable lower arms, common brands are Cusco, SPC, GT Spec, Whiteline, Stance etc.

Whiteline bushing kit as mentioned by @geeang is good for +/- 0.75 degrees according to the specs and that sounds like what you want. This is their Aussie site http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_..._number=KCA326
There may also be a vendor on here offering a club discount but not sure.

Has anyone successfully corrected this condition (Diff camber on L/R sides) by shifting the rear subframe?

Adjustable UCA, adjustable LCA, or UCA bushings are really your only options here. By the time you get the stock UCA out and press the bushings in/out you could have just replaced either arm with an adjustable one.

Yeah it seems like the bushing kit from whiteline is more of a hassel than spending a couple more hundred on a pair LCAs.

I read somewhere on this forum that someone used camber bolts in the rear as well. I think he had to shorten them slightly but they did still work.

You'll get more out of these than the whitelines or the OEM. You need 14MM for the front and 12mm for the rear I believe. I bought mine from Perrin. Just talk to Chris or Jeff.

To do a good set of plates and arms you will be in the $1000 range. I would go with the bolts for $48 per pair and be done with it.

This. You can usually get a few tenths out of the factory multilink suspension by jacking up under the frame, loosening (but not removing) all the suspension link bolts, and getting someone to push/pull the tire in the direction you want to move the camber, then retorquing the bolts while the wheel is being held.

I noticed a visible difference from side to side after installing wider rims/tires. So I purchased some Cusco LCA's for a spring install next week.
At a meet with a couple other 86 owners we noted the same thing but on the opposite side.

Is it best practice to adjust the subframe or just compensate with the adjustments?
