Rears not camber adjustable?
So I got an alignment today and was told that they couldn't adjust the rear camber. I've got the car lowered on BC BR coilovers (camber plates at the front but none at the rear). Natural camber for the rear is currently -2 degrees for the left side and -2.5 degrees for the right side.
I want to bring back the right side to -2 degrees to be the same as the left side but I was told that it can't be adjusted and that I would need to replace the stock upper control arm with an adjustable upper control arm to be able to adjust the rear camber. Can anyone verify that what I have been told is correct? If so, what is a good brand for adjustable upper control arms? |
The rear camber on the FRS/BRZ/86 is can be adjusted if you have adjustable lower control arms, or you can also get the whiteline camber bushing kit for the rear.
For the adjustable lower arms, common brands are Cusco, SPC, GT Spec, Whiteline, Stance etc. |

There may also be a vendor on here offering a club discount but not sure. . |

Has anyone successfully corrected this condition (Diff camber on L/R sides) by shifting the rear subframe?

im running -1.3L/-1.7R myself. I would like to even it out if possible without LCA's. spec is -1.2 +/- 0.75

Yeah it seems like the bushing kit from whiteline is more of a hassel than spending a couple more hundred on a pair LCAs.

I read somewhere on this forum that someone used camber bolts in the rear as well. I think he had to shorten them slightly but they did still work.

I noticed a visible difference from side to side after installing wider rims/tires. So I purchased some Cusco LCA's for a spring install next week.
At a meet with a couple other 86 owners we noted the same thing but on the opposite side. Is it best practice to adjust the subframe or just compensate with the adjustments? |
