Honestly, it looks like a cheap knockoff of Perrin's, just spend the extra $30 for the quality part.

There is also the AVO hose. I also went with the Perrin one.

The Perrin inlet tube makes the bend a little more gradually as well if that matters...

Same thing, smooths out the accordion section and is slightly larger. Jus get it. None of them make a noticeable power difference

Eh, I decided not to buy any of them. Can't really see where they would make a difference. Put in a drop in air filter and called it good.

Go with Perrin and if you got cash to spend get a CF one like Sard or Zeek. Zeeks is pretty affordable for it being carbon fiber. AVO's silicone tube is the most copied design. EVer since they came out with theirs chinese knock off companies now supply them whole sale and for example the link you posted just put there own logo on the tube after buying it whole sale.
dont know how you can say to go with Zeta when Perrins is clearly the best one to get. Look at how Perrins is a smooth curve while Zeta/AVO/ and knockoffs all are just a L. Perrins and carbon fiber tubes like Sard/Zeek are a smooth curve for better flow. Sards is pretty nice and their intake tube looks like it kind of gets a little bit enlarged so it looks like it would have an effect on how the flow of air enters the TB. Not sure what the word that is correct for this term is but if you look at the link below the velocity/air pressure entering from the curve looks like that area of the intake tube is a bit larger than what the perrin and other silicone tubes diameter is then it goes to a smaller diameter. So wouldnt that increase the velocity there fore increasing power a little? I know the Perrin intake tube gets slight gains especially when they have a header back/intake they reported getting 3-4 whp by just having there silicone tube. Zetas with a drop in filter saw a 1-2 whp bump so I am sure the zeta/perrin both perform similar. And possibly the Sard gets a smaller increase over the Perrin tube with how it effects the air entering hte throttle body. It definitely would lean it out a slightly since it effects velocity. Can anyone read japanese or translate what this pdf says regarding the velocity/air pressure? For 500 bucks, it must do something more than just dress up the engine bay. I mean what other intake tube do you see have a larger diameter at the curve then go to a smaller diameter at the TB. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/new/...intake_ZN6.pdf It says 75->90->75 and then 45% something. Can that carbon fiber be 45% lighter than the orchodion tube? Or could that be something that relates to air flow? One would think the carbon fiber sard pipe would be heavier. I was thinking maybe the 45% would be the air flow being effected? Last edited by FR-Sizzle; 11-25-2013 at 08:53 AM. |

i have the rev tube....
its the same as everyone elses... minus the printed on logo. perrin has a smoother bend, i am sure that is worth the extra 30-40 dollars.
