Have you looked above? Any rim that you put on a stock ride height car will look more lifted. If the lifted look is what you wanna lose, maybe think about springs/coils?

You could just lower it and you won't have to deal with the monster truck look.

Lowered and 18" rims = lookin great.

I'm more fond of 16-17" rims on these cars but I've got 18's on right now due to availability. I'm waiting to see if some 17's become available that I really want.

The rim is the "outer edge of a wheel, holding the tire."[1] It makes up the outer circular design of the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel"]Wheel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] on which the inside edge of the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire"]Tire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] is mounted on vehicles such as [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobile"]Automobile - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame].

That is all.... .... teachable moment.

Just thought i would help clear up the confusion between RIMS and WHEELS so he doesn't buy rims but buys wheels for the car!

Thanks for the irrelevant post though i'm sure it was educational and just as beneficial to the clearing up of the confusion of the revelation i revealed.

The wheel police...

KOJIN,17x8,35,5x120,72.6,BK
KOJIN - I assume to just be a brand so disregard that.

17x8 - 17" wheel diameter, 8" wheel width

5x120 - That is the lug/bolt pattern. The 5 represents the lug/bolt count while the 100 represents the bolt circle diameter. In this case, the 100 is metric and means 100mm. The twins use a 5x100 bolt pattern.

72.6 - That is the wheel hub inner diameter. It is better if the wheel rest on the hub and not the bolts. When a wheel has a greater hub diameter than the car's wheel hub, hub-centric discs are used.

BK -

Then there are tire specs. 115/45R17 87W

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

your selection by wheel is limited by the car's bolt pattern (5x100)...

for the Kojin

17x8 +40
17x8 +45 (closest to stock)
17x9 +45
18x8 +40
18x8 +45
18x8.5 +45
18x9.5 +45

(so for 17x8 +40 17 is the wheel height (inches), 8 is the wheel width(inches), and +40 is the offset. offset just describes how far the mounting surface of the wheel is from the center of the wheel's width, so this wheel's mounting surface is 40mm out from the center)

are your options. then you decide what sizes you need depending on if you want a square setup (all wheels/tires same size) or staggered (rear wider than front).

square lets you rotate tires easily and would probably maintain the character of the stock car (since it is square setup from the factory).
staggered gives you that agressive sports car look and could increase understeer/decrease oversteer at the limit of grip depending on tire selection

so you tell us what you want to do and your goals are, and we make a suggestion

btw, 'rims' is just slang for wheel, no need to ride his ass about it.
