Eyebrow Turn Signals

Well sometimes it is hard to find a good supplier of bulbs. These are the type two switchbacks which have a constant white (or amber depending on how the pins are configured). There are about 3 other bulbs types that we'll be stocking, but this isn't a sales thread.

I was just thinking of something I could do in the meantime and came up with this.

I really like the idea (and your headlights), but they aren't bright in any way.

Also, your advertising photos aren't great. The car doesn't come with white headlight housings, so having all of your headlight products mounted to your white headlight housing is a bit pointless as it is damn near impossible to get a good perspective of what it might look like in person on a stock headlight.

Just a little constructive criticism.

Not a sales thread. Just a guy with an FR-S in this thread.

I'll do some video outside. I mounted them really far back so that the LEDs themselves couldn't be seen.

Green car...

35mm f/1.4 lens @ 25 meters away. DX camera so 1.5 crop.

It's cloudy outside, so the best I could do is turn all the lights on including the halos. All those lights are very good at washing out anything else, but you can still see the eyebrows. They were moved a little lower.

Oh and this is what white CCFLs look like in a stock casing.

Definitely like the idea but i would personally user bigger led strips that span the entire length of the top of the headlight and the outer curve. That might help the visibility of it a bit

Thanks for the suggestion. It was moved down from the original video. I'm just worried I'll get into a situation where it wouldn't look clean. Right now it's easy to do AND clean. To continue around the curve, they would probably have to mounted to the inside of the lens.

The density of this strip is much greater than most. If the sun decides to come out tomorrow, I'll see if they can be seen across a typical intersection under the brightest of conditions.

ahh yea if they're thicker it might be tough. I would definitely want to test in both day and night to see if the drls or the low beams drown out the light. HIDs would be something to consider too. You got me interested though... might have to take a closer look at the available space around the lights.

It would be cool to get the "boomerang" light to act as a turn signal on the BRZ.
