BFGoodrich g-Force Rival faster than Direzza II?

A G-force tire that loves to make noise; sounds familiar. Road noise isn't a concern for people running these tires, but communicating limits of grip through tire squeal is.

So we need someone to make the sacrifice, buy these and try them out at autocross and get back to us on their performance. I would but snow delays yr season. Any one down south ready for this? Your sacrifice will be appreciated.

There are a few who were asked to test these along with the new star specs down in New Orleans. These BFGs seemed to wear better and perform better than anything else from the feedback given. They do look like they would not be great in the wet. Tire Rack will have them on their website tomorrow, little more than the new star specs.

It'll lose sales to the Z2 on that alone. Once both are available it'll be interesting to see which becomes the flavor of the month tire.

189.00 for a 245x17? Not bad.

255/40R17 They have a good size for me, once I find my wheels I wouldn't mind testing.

Unless the tires or rules change, these will not be legal for the SCCA street tires classes (ST* or RT*). The rules stipulate >7/32 tread depth when new. These are speced at 7/32. BFG is going to have to scramble...

Maybe they can change the specs to 15/64th.

Edit: Might be fine as-is for RT, the RT rules might not have a tread depth statement like ST.

Nice catch! I can't imagine that BFG would overlook something as simple as tread depth requirements.
