BFGoodrich gForce Sport -- feedback??
Hi guys, wondering if anyone has experience with the BFGoodrich gForce Sport. I was at Sam's Club getting tires installed on one of our other cars, and stumbled upon this:
![]() ![]() They're in our size -- and that's a really good deal! Looks like Tire Rack is selling them for $118 plus shipping, and they have good reviews there (mostly from BMW drivers). I've had really good luck with BFG's myself, in the past. In fact, BFG's are what I bought for our Highlander tonight. Anyways. These are so inexpensive, and the sign says they're a "one-time buy", so I'm actually thinking about buying a set of four to put away for when I need them, which maybe would be as soon as next summer. Of course, right now in Minnesota, I'm on my snow tires -- Nitto SN2 205/55/16 on Impreza WRX rims: ![]() ![]() Anyway -- any feedback any of y'all have about those BFG's would be appreciated! Cheers, Dave |

If you're getting BFGoodrich tires skip everything except the KDW2's. I have them on my Mustang and soon on my FRS. Amazing tires, but I can see how the cost could sway you. For me when it comes to pillows, camera lenses, or tires only the best will do.

I have them on my M3. They are alright. Nothing to brag about.

They're an average tire, if you get them from somewhere other than a wholesale club they are now called G Force Sport Comp 2. The new sport comp version is stickier. Wholesale club tires are always either slightly different or the old version of tires bought from an actual dealer. I'd recommend the G Force Supersport AS for daily driving. I've been a BFG and Michelin Dealer for 5 years and I've seen a few people bring back the regular G Force Sports for poor ride, but never for traction issues.

Thanks, everyone, for the input so far -- keep it coming! I don't need new summer tires yet, but when I do, I'm not looking to maximize high performance grip. I actually love the way the car drives on its stock tires. So if I do a track day or two, I'm actually thinking the most FUN (not to be confused with the lowest lap times) will be had with a tire close to stock. Along the lines of this thread:
Looking for new summer tires, but don't want to add too much grip I'm the last guy looking to "cheap out". But this is why I was thinking that a tire similar to stock, but for less money, might actually be well suited for me. |

I had those exact tires on my WRX. They were decent tires. Certainly better than the stock tires on the FRS/BRZ.

Old thread, but I can get the G-force sport in the stock size for $60 each off the employee discontinued tire list. Should I pull the trigger on them? Does anyone else have experience with them to share.

I had them on my cressida about 5 years ago. Good road tire, but not on the same level as high end stuff.

I've had those on my Integra and I think my WRX as well. They're fine. As someone else said, nothing special. The price is pretty good, but that's a matter of perspective. I can get a set of Federal 595SS for $80/ea. They'll blow away the BFGs, but most shops don't carry them.
I've heard great things about the KDW2 in terms of grip, but everyone seems to hate them after a while due to noise.
