Water inside the car?

Hi everyone

Let me try to explain my girlfriends situation as best as I can

Lately in the mornings when she gets into her car, there is a trememdous amount of condensation and water drops on the inside of the windshield, especially where the defogger blows. (it has been just above freezing the last few weeks).

And when she turns on the fan in the car to the 2 position I can hear water blowing around somewhere behind the passenger side dash. I can only hear this when its been raining outside.

I checked under the hood where the motor was and didnt see anything odd.

Can anyone provide any insight? Thanks!

sounds like the drain for the AC may be clogged. Allowing water to pool up in the evaporator case.

I'd start looking below the car for the drain tube. It is in around the passenger area and look at it from below to see if you see something blocking it.

It's a small rubber tube that is usually cut at an angle on the passenger side of the car. Get a hanger and bend it in such a way that you can gently stick it up there and get ready for water to get all over the place.

take it to the dealer. It's a warranty issue and they need to fix it.

While I would normally agree with this mentality, I do NOT trust my local dealer and would rather not be without a car for a day or two when this is something I can potentially fix in 30mins or so.

I don't trust my dealer either at all. I try to fix it myself (obviously for small stuff). If I can't I would then take it to the dealer.
