Egged... Best way to remove?

Car got egged, and was probably on for over at least a week- now its caked on pretty good. (It's not my FRS, phew! lol). I tried soaking it with soapy water, and theres still a pretty solid film left, tried scratching some off with fingernail but its caked on pretty good. What's the best way to soften it up and remove it without damaging the paint?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Bug&Tar remover maybe? It'll probably need some time to work in and you'll want to do a good wax afterwards.

Yea i'm always quick to remove anything like that on my car. Bird poop wont sit on my car for more then 5 minutes after its noticed. It's not my car, and it tends to get neglected to say the least.

Thanks for the info guys, i'll try the white vinegar thing first- and if that doesnt work i'll probably go buy some cleaning products.

probably 2 weeks or more tbh, it was hella caked on there lol. It's an old car and the owner is far from an enthusiast.

Did you mean Goof Off? Two similarly-named cleaning products, but apparently not at all the same. I personally would be wary about using goo gone on automotive paint, but there was a thread on here where people were saying goof off is ok for cars

I've used goo gone many times on my vehicles, no problems.
Also Pam cooking spray may help. It takes off love bugs like a charm.

Removing the egg reminants is rather easy, but what is impossible is removing the cracked paint that the shell of the egg causes when it hits it. Is there any marks in your finish that look like tiny little chips in a circular pattern???
