What happens if the wheels don't have these sensors.
Does the on-board computer freak out?

From what I've read on this forum, only the TPMS light comes on and no other effects occur. I'm planning on running winter tires for three months without TPMS, because I have a second set of wheels. If you install a different set of sensors, the ECU (or BCU - not sure which) will need to be programmed to recognize the new TPMS, because the ECU (or BCU) only recognizes one set of TPMS, and the dealer charges approximately $100 to do the reprogramming. I don't want to pay the dealer $200 a year just for TPMS re-programming.

I have no sensors and it's just the light. It might bug me, except I also have the sport mode on which is 2 more lights. It's really not bad at all.
