Stop Tech Big Brake kit installed

I just added stoptech BBK with stainless steel line all around. There was no issue with fitment and it fun to breaking in the brakes because everyone was looking at me funny. I can not wait to take it to the track to feel the differences between stock and these. The caliper are rather large so aftermarket wheels must be selected properly. The XXR 530 18x8.75 offset +35 accommodated the BBK with no issue and plenty of room to spare.

Should probably specify that those are 18x8.75 +35 wheels.

What's the combined weight change compared to the stock system?

Might want to note the offset on your wheels as it will affect the clearance between the caliper as well. I'm curious on the weight of the BBK vs. stock system, as it will add more unsprung weight. I remember on one of my old S14's I put a brembo BBK on front and it totally changed the handling with the added unsprung weight, understeered more and turn in was more sluggish. The brakes stopped much better obviously though

I will see what I can do, I only have a camera phone. Maybe I will ask my friend with his fancy camera to snap a couple of pictures for me.

I do not really know since I was to lazy to weigh everything and the brake fluids fluids would get everything dirty.

Noted the specification of the wheels on the original post. Not sure about the weight and the handling feel very similar. My pedal feel different as in firmer and initial bite is better, I am pretty sure it more to do with the stainless steel lines as oppose to the whole BBK. Braking distance I can not tell. Assume they performance difference is very minor from initial braking, but after repeated hard braking the differences should be more apparent.

Looks good. We've had a couple of these go out and everyone really likes them. A nice quality kit!

Congrats on your new brakes.

Why is the stoptech 345mm rear BBK a larger diameter than the front 328mm kit?

Don't they make a lower price rear match for the 328mmm fronts (like 300mm)?

....

They save 6.5 lbs per corner over stock.

Where did you go to break them in? Was it just on the highway? I know you need to do a couple 60 to 0 runs to properly wear them in.
