Yup, I did after I installed my airaid intake.. was kinda troublesome to take out the snorkel without taking out the front bumper down completely .. u can refer to this DIY post on how to take it out

i just took mine out but i dont have an aftermarket intake but i will be building my own and will probably be done by fri. I will say that the stock snorkel is way too small and not sure how the car even breaths better with it on. It was a pain in the ass to remove but i took of the rubber piece holding the bumper and pulled the bumper back just enough to unscrew the snorkel. I then removed the front park of the intake box so i can have a better grab at the snorkel. U have to have the snorkel at a certain angle and u have to use a little force to really get out tho. It was a pain in the a$$ without removing the bumper

Without an aftermarket intake you lose power when you remove the snorkel and leave stock. I'm on my phone now so I can't post the link but just search it. I took it out once i installed my Airaid intake, it was obnoxiously hard to remove but nothing like these damn side markers.

Just saw it and going to do some quick testing to see if it indeed sucks in hot air...just did a 15min run and logged my highest intake temp and lowest intake temp...going to let the car cool down and ill repeat the same process later and see what results we get. Either way i will be making my own snorkel that i hope benefits the intake and doesnt heat soak it...im going to keep the stock air box but im going to make the snorkel bigger. once im done ill post pics of the new intake

Ok so earlier on in the day i logged some data with the snorkel on and off..i drove around my block, hopped on the highway and did a full speed run and got off next exit and pulled up in front of my building. put the snorkel back on let the car cool down for about 30 mins and repeated the same run. Not sure why the pics on my phone keep coming up corrupted when i upload to pc but ill find a way to post them up. Without the snorkel my cars highest temp was 123.8 and lowest was 78.8 with the snorkel on my highest temp was 123.2 and lowest was 89.6..i do have an hks intake filter but it seems like without the snorkel it will breath better during wide open throttle but at idle it will get hotter..for now i have the snorkel off cuz its a b**** to take off and put back on

the fix is to buy an intake that places the filter away from the motor. you're going to want some kind of fresh air ducting. otherwise, all that warm air from the motor is not helping.

yessir...just a drop in...so i decided to do a little custom thing to the snorkel and it read a low of 75.2 today and a high of 123.2. Yesterdays weather was 64 with 88 humidity and today was 71 with 86humidity. So it was little hotter out today and i still managed to keep the intake even cooler now. Also with normal driving yesterday it read 88.2 at a constant speed of 60mph and today it read 80.6 at a constant speed of 60. Im not a expert with any of this stuff but i felt like doing my own little project and just using common sense and trying to make sure im not making the intake worse by taking in more hot air and so far im doing okay lol. i took some maf readings today and at idle my car read 3.9 and wot was 148.7g/s. If possible can anybody that has the torque app and stock air box take a reading for me.. Take a reading at idle and then if u can do a wot run in 3rd gear and tell me what your readings are
