Switchback LED's

I've been reading various threads and wanted to know if any of you guys have installed Switchback LED turn signals on you FR-S? I found some bulbs online and the vendors are giving me conflicting advice. One said theirs are plug and play no further action needed. Another told me i need to install load resistors to prevent hyperflash. Can anyone of you guys that have done this mod point me in the right direction? What did you use? I've upgraded most of t he lighting on the car and wanted to hit the turn signals next i just wanna go about it right. Thanks in advance

I have ones installed on mine. you DEFINITELY need resistors. The blinking is very fast.

So the blinking is present ok good to know. Was it hard to mount the resistors? Did you use a tap instead of splicing into any wiring? I may go for it, it doesn't look like that hard of a mod. I was just concerned with the blinking.

Wasnt bad at all, if you get them from TrueStreetIndustries, they have a diagram on their post of how to do it. Its very easy.

The conventional way of correcting the hyperflash is to splice into the wiring a load resistor. If you do not wish to cut any wires, there is a HFR module that is plug and play and corrects the hyperflash issue and is 100% reversible for those who are not comfortable making wire modifications.

Would that be the module underneath the steering column area? i saw a thread on here somewhere about someone changing it out. I just want to keep things away from the dealerships eyes on the occasions i take it in i don't want them to spot anything and void warranty stuff. Nissan pulled that crap on me with my old 350z over some simple light bulbs they voided my whole headlamp assembly. The service writer was an ass!
