Door bolt replacement.
Heya,
Does anyone know what the size of the bolt holding the door ajar switch? I want to replace it with a black one and I've tried M8-16mm and M6-16mm flange bolts and one is too big and one seems ever so slightly too small. Any M7 I can find is left handed threads so wondering if anyone here knows. Here's the bolt in question: https://i.imgur.com/IM8OGaj.png Thanks for any info! |

OR you could go to Home Depot/Lowes and remove it in the parking lot. Take it in and match it up with something.
But the OEM route is probably a better choice lol |

I chemically changed the color of mine to black with gun rebluing liquid and a Q-Tip. They now look like the rest of the factory black bolts.

I did it on the car with a Q-Tip. The bluing liquid doesn't harm rubber or plastic. I've been using it for years to blacken bolt heads. It gives even coverage, the perceived "bare" spots in the photo are actually just glare from the camera flash and light oil applied after the curing.
