OBD Port PID Loops

Hi there folks!

Finally broke past the break in mileage for my WRB '22 BRZ and am prepping it for the track. I plugged in my OBD reader to pair it up with RaceChrono and was hoping that we could get some of that sweet, sweet data from the first gens on this one.

Stuff like brake pedal info, steering wheel angle, etc.

Is there no way to get this from OBD? I know people are trying to open up the CAN to get this but I'd like to be as un-intrusive as possible.

Currently, I'm just logging throttle position, engine oil temp, coolant temp, speed and RPM.

Cheers.

Kev

There's a thread on this already. Make a jumper to read from the ASC, zero intrusion and just takes a little time. The CAN on the OBD is gated.

What MacSpeed said. It's not on the OBD2 port (unless you want to reverse engineer SSM... have fun)

I tried — there's literally no information being broadcasted on the CAN pins of the OBD-II port until you make OBD-II requests.
