Uneven brake temps and warping after a light track day

I brought a laser temp gun to a track day for the first time. It was an SCCA "Track Night", so it was only three 20 minute sessions.

The first two sessions my rotor temps were still fairly low (about 250). As I was getting more comfortable for the last session I went a lot more aggressive. There was a large variation from L to R temperature was about 650 on the L and 450 on the R. The track does have more right handers under braking, but that still seems like a pretty large difference between left and right?!

Another strange phenomenon occurred. Prior to the event my rotors were warped. Pretty bad vibration. I had them resurfaced once already and it didn't help for long, so I figured I'd abuse them and replace them after the event. Somehow the vibration almost complete vanished after the event. Did I somehow un-warp them?

makes perfect sense if you didn't pull the ABS fuse or do the pedal dance.

TCS was interceding on your behalf to keep the car oriented.

rotors don't warp.

I believe I had all traction control turned off. For the 2017+ it's just the long hold button push, right? Pedal dance is for the previous years, IIRC.

I did not disable ABS, but only felt it engage once or twice very briefly.

i believe the only change from '17+ was a less intrusive track mode. i believe press-hold still is the same, where tcs is still active, just the least intrusive mode.

I run my 2017 long press. No probs very minimal intrusion. No brake overheats unless by ME. May I add I get around my local Track fairly Fast but only in comparison to other drivers. Then again ABS is not my concern, Nannies stopping me from getting on the gas are !.

For sure on '17+ the "long hold" completely turns off traction control. Pretty sure it disables everything but ABS. I could not tell any difference between the long hold and the pedal dance on my '17 PP.

I read this post and scratched my head. Huh? I don't understand. I went back and reread your first post in this thread then spotted the link. It was quite well camouflaged and it wasn't surprising I didn't see it on my first read through. Admittedly, I cringed a little when I spotted the link.
My apologies.

I notice I've been sitting in traffic too often when I start to get brake judder. "Spirited" driving usually fixes it.

Its more of un-even pad deposit on the face of the rotor vs wrapped rotors. And Chances you "bedded" your brakes while on track which got rid of the even pad deposits.
