Getting Glue Off My Paint..
I have a few lines of adhesive on my quarter panel from where the dealership pulled the protection film off when the car was delivered. What is the best thing to get the glue off? Going to detail today....

If it's big drops, scrape what you can off first; will make removal w/ goo gone much faster (if necessary at all.) If you're confident, use a razor blade, if not, get one of those plastic spreaders like you use for Bondo.
Just took 3 big drops of cherry pitch off the Camry with a razor blade. No residue or scratches, no need for goo gone

I have 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover, in a spray can. Make sure the paint is clean first, then I spray it on a microfiber cloth and just dab the adhesive a few times. Then use your finger and rub it off, comes off with no effort at all. When you're done, wash the area again, or apply spray detailer.
I did a lot of reading about it, and a lot of people prefer the 3M, or Stoner's Tarminator as opposed to Goo Gone. Some people recommended Goo Off, but I'm a bit scared of that stuff to be honest. The 3M stuff worked great. |

If you use Goof Off you have goofed! It contains powerful solvents like xylene and will take the paint right off your car. Goo Gone or lighter fluid FTW. Once the glue is softened, roll it off with your fingers and a bit of flour. Saves a lot of time.

I used goo gone and a mf towel. Took it right off. It was just a few long thin marks.
