Custom Rom won't flash issue ECUTEK

Looking for help on an issue with flashing a custom ROM onto an ECU with ECUTEK. I was able to put the license onto the ECU and I am able to flash a stock ROM (ZA1JA00C or ZA1JB01C), although as soon as I make any kind of change to the ROM file, save it as another file and then try to flash that file onto the ECU as a custom ROM file I get the error shown in the picture.


"This ECU type can only be programmed with a standard ROM or......"



The custom file started off as a compatible ROM (ZA1JB01C) and the ECU will flash that file so I can't figure out why it won't take this one.

if you modify a stock rom you cannot flash it with ecutek untill you add racerom patch


best to ise at least racerom 11.1 or higher


its easy to add jist add the patch version that matches your base rom ecu id


in your case ZA1JB01C


that way you also get the launch flat foot shift and auto blip features added thats the racerom patch

And adding RaceRom patch will mess up your Engine Load Limiter
