Is stock battery AGM or wet?

Hello,

My stock battery is about done and almost three years old. Is the stock unit AGM?

Any harm in going AGM other than wallet pain?

Stock battery is a unsealed, lead acid type. Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) is a sealed battery which uses fiberglass to hold the electrolyte like a sponge. AGM batteries can be mounted in any position and are lighter than their lead acid counterparts. No problem using an automotive AGM but if you use a battery maintainer or charger, it will have to be compatible with an AGM battery.
Back in the day, I changed the battery in my old car and watched my jeans slowly dissolve over the next week.

Stock battery is not sealed. It is a traditional lead-acid wet battery that requires maintenance. Info in the owner's manual.
