Torque Pro on Android Auto
Been searching around to see if this topic was ever brought up with this particular app, but did not find much. Has anyone tried this XDA Labs app and got Torque Pro to work with Android Auto?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gen...orque-t3657805 I am aware we don't really have any method to mirror our phone screens onto the head unit of a 2017+ model, unless we get into more major modifications. But Android Auto would be the easy method if it could run the app. XDA Labs seems to be the only thing I see people mention when searching this topic. There isn't a lot of information out there on it though, as few seem to have tried it. But it seems to be a potential solution, so I was curious if anyone knew about this or gave it a try? Would be cool, and much easier than replacing the head unit, as I don't have any interest in doing so. |

The problem is the app would have to be rewritten to support one of the allowable display methods and publish itself. Have you looked into writing an Android auto compatible app? Start there

I believe I understand what you are saying, but that seems to be skipping my question of whether XDA Labs takes care of this or not. Unless I am misunderstanding you, in which case please correct me. But the steps on the link I provided are pretty straight forward, and I have watched a couple videos that show the steps to installing it and making it work on AA. But as I said, there are very few, with imperfect results, but they do get it to work. That's why I ask if anyone has attempted this method and how it worked out for them. The developer has kept it up to date until the end of 2018 so far in terms of updates.
