Recommended gauges for supercharger

Hey yall,

I'll be going boosted with the Sprintex 210 non-IC soon on an auto tranny. What gauges should I pick use? Is it absolutely necessary for them? I won't be driving hard or racing.

good practice for FI is to tune with a wideband
so you could buy a AEM wideband that requires its gauge always connected so that s one
oil pressure sensor and gauge also good to have

and keep visible (gauge or torque/dash command or ecutek ecu connect) oil temp

Just get a scangauge. All you need you have a sprintex. You don’t need Oil pressure gauge since your not tracking. Sprintex doesn’t need wideband no point really stock 02 is already pretty much a wideband. Scangauge is cheap, quick and easy to install, and can monitor 4 things at once. AFR, boost, oil temp, transmission temp, coolant temp, intake temp, all 4 tire pressures and about dozen other things. Just pick your favorite 4. Don’t need anything fancy unless your making loads of boost and tracking your car.

I use my phone since I have the ecutek Bluetooth kit. I create different dashboards for different driving situations. But it's free if you have a modern smartphone and a 10$ phone mount. I have my phone always plugged in due to use Android Auto. Works and it's free.

Thanks man! I'm planning on doing that too. What gauges do you have set up on your interface?

If you want to monitor knock, knock correction is not enough, you need to log also Ignition correction Ap fine

Logging yes, monitoring not so much. A knock event will happen so fast your not going to see it unless your staring at the screen at that exact moment. Just monitor IAM is enough. Log everything to dial in tune. Then IAM AFRs and temps to make sure everything is still going smooth.

i have ecu onnect in my Xtrons since 7 months and see every little knock that occurs in my car, dont know what you are talking about i set red colour when they move from 0 so i see even with the tail of my eyes immediately
you could even set the screen flashing for even a little -0.4 correction if d like
but if you think you can not see correction i just guess you dont have ecu connect in your radio or even never set it up

depending on how the tune is setup, or on oarticular situation, you can have corrections as high as -4 and not have AM moving from 1.0

So you just stare at your screen all day instead of looking at the road while driving?
Admittedly I haven’t used what your using. But scangauge, ecutek both laptop and phone Bluetooth, OFT, and dash command phone app. If it has a 10hz refresh and a knock event lasting 1/10th of a second happens you blink and it’ll be off the screen. Datalog is obviously different. If a knock event worth seeing happens it’ll drop your IAM if your tune is setup correctly.

i have seen multiple logs from fensport and delicious tuning kicking a -3 correction and not moving AM, it s more on repetitive knocks that triggers am, or on particular zones depeding how it is set the Knock corr A table

anyway i do not stare at my screen, but i always see if a correction happens and i often keep a ignition timing slider there as I sometimes use Boostane and it makes miracles with a supercharger, and advance timing on the fly until a correction occurs
