Will OFH headers last like OEM?

Hi guys, Im sure the oem header was designed to pretty much last the cars lifetime. (Without extreme use) Can we the say the same for the OFH or any quality aftermarket headers outside of ebay knockoffs? And by lifetime, My definition is you can pretty much expect once its wrapped properly and fitted in, can be left there indefinitely without issues for daily use just like OEM? (No tracking, DD, just spirited drives, tropical country always above 25C, no snow) or do aftermarket headers have an estimated lifetime before they begin breaking/need replacement?

Some companies (JDL) offer a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Just something to keep in mind.

For reliability oem is the way to go. Can't get to heaven without dying though

I'm not so sure I agree with the reliability=OEM thing. Maybe OEM > OFH, not familiar with their build quality, but there are headers out there that are really nicely made. Also depends on environment - stock OEM will probably last as long as anything out there, but under FI they can pop.

My ofh is well constructed. My p&l required tweaking to stop over pipe rubbing. Stock doesn't breathe well but is stout. F.i. can destroy forged or cast components if not done right.

I have a DC sports header that has been on my Z24, now my sons car, that's been on for close to 18 years and it's fine.
It's not wrapped but came ceramic coated. I did the same coating with my Gruppe-S header and expect the same life of that.

Yup I figured - I remember reading about a few stories here where OFH's had cracked, but probably just a bad production batch. Funny you mentioned P&L, that's the header I have right now Solid - I'd definitely expect it to last at least as long as an OEM unit.
