Make your own air intake pipe/hose
So i made my own intake "tube". You can buy these intake hose from perrin for example and pay like 120-150 USD, but since i like to build these kind of things on my own, combined with some greediness
, i thought it could be fun!I lways forget to take pictures in the building process, but i got some pics at least, which i will add down below. I started with buying a 3" steel pipe, 50cm long, then i drilled a 12mm (1/2") hole in about a 45° angel. I cut the pipe to a length of 17cm (6.7"), after that i added another steel pipe to the hole i drilled earlier and welded these parts together. I also bought some 3" silicone hoses, one that was just 3" long and another 90° that was about 3.5" long in both directions. I had to cut this hoses a bit to make them work in length properly, i then added these hoses to the steel pipe and holded this together with some hose clamps. I'm from Sweden, and i know my English is a bit crappy, so i hope these pictures will make it more easier to understand. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The cost for all parts was as following: - 3" steelpipe: 5USD - 1/2" steelpipe: 1USD - Silicone hoses (both): 16USD - Hose clamps: 1.5USDx4= 6USD Everything costed me an estimated 28 bucks, excl the black paint... Worth to mention as well, is that i use the HKS hybrid drop in filter, and i can't really say that i would feel any differnce in performance with this setup combined with my own made intake, i know for fact that i didn't make it worse however ![]() If somebody has any questions, just ask!

That's pretty awesome! For some one doesn't have any welding experience (I'm talking about me) how difficult would it be to get a decent weld?
